REVIEW: GOL AND GINCU VOL 2 As someone who has watched the first movie amd remembered it as a tasteful local work of art, I can't help but wonder why this sequel score more misses than goals. Keep in mind that my reviews are based on my own point of view and I swear to leave out as many spoilers as I can. Let's just go general on how I feel after leaving the cinema... As time has changed and social media is a major role in society these days, you wont be surprised as how GAG2 revolves much around it as well. I must say that despite what it lacks, GAG2 is a fresh spin on local cinematography. But it doesn't compare much to the likes of Pisau Cukur and (dare i say) Crazy Rich Asians. However, much of the plot is scrambled out and lost just half an hour into the movie. Then about an hour in, you'd THINK it's finally leading to what it's supposed to be...but then it fell short just 15 minutes after. Ok so as to keep it GENERAL again, the script and storyline is weak in terms of creativity and content. Some even said it was predictable. But i didn't expected it to end the way it did. There were TOO MUCH product placements and cameos that I ASSUMED that's why they lost the essence of Gol And Gincu altogether. In my honest opinion, this sequel shouldn't be a sequel at all. I felt there was more Gincu than Gol in this one. Costume, set-works and props too were...lazy. instead of giving it a "110%", It feels like not enough effort was being put in to creating the details of every scene. This is a shame as 2018 is all about the little things in a movie. (SPOILER) The fashion show scene was awkward to watch as none of the outfits were logically bedazzling considering Malaysian supermodel Tutti herself walked the runway. So yeah to sum it all, I felt like it was lazy. You'll know what i mean. How about the casts? It was ALMOSTTTTT up to par ... but never 'there'. Some of it was a little overdramatic but unfortunately, it's the sort our local cinematic production seems to love. I understand that this is a family comedy, but I feel like it became too cliche that the characters didn't managed to connect with the audiences. Rating: ⭐⭐/5. #golgincu2 #golgincuvol2

Congratulations my dear sweethearts. @umminazeera and @dianadanielleb the acting was really amazing. The movie is so real. Addressing real life and real time social issues. I love how it brought unity amongst enemies and created a family out of a super super diverse crowd. A pure feel good movie. I applaud you two. Both played the part so so well. Im so proud you guys.
